 Hello all, can you please reccomend a good engine oil? and also i will be doing the fuel filter at the same time can you please drop some advise on how to bleed the system after the filter change, i see that there is a small bubble thing on the fuel line?? many thanks

when you change the fuel filter, there is a number 10 bolt on top of where the filter is tightened, loosen this bolt and pump the black bubble thing on the fuel line until you see diesel coming out of the bolt that you loosened, once there is diesel coming out then you can tighten the bolt but carry on pumping the bubble until it feels hard and then your system will be bled.

there's another small bleed nipple on top of the injector pump, open this after bleeding the filter and pump the hand pump untill you get diesel coming out. otherwise you may find it will still cut out after starting. As for oil, a gallon (5 litres) of good quality turbodiesel oil such as castrol or other well known brand. Make sure to pre-fill the new oil filter before fitting it (pour some new oil into it and let it soak it up). This will prevent oil starvation on startup, as the TD100 usually fires up straight away on starting.. Also a good idea to empty any remaining old oil out of the oil cooler radiator if there is one.. remove the pipes going into the oil filter housing by removing the 5mm allen bolts and pulling out the fittings - be careful not to damage the O-rings on refitting.
