Technical help! punto randomly not starting!

eek! My punto randomly doesn't want to start when I have to go to work! It didn't do it in the summer, but now when it gets colder it sometimes takes me 5 minutes to get it started (had to jump start it today grrr!)

I've just had a new battery, head gasket, some new wiring, spark plugs and I know that it isn't damp problem.

I'm thinking it's the cold but I can't stop that!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to something cheap I can do to sort it out? E.g. I tried putting a blanket over the engine (yeah I know that sounds stupid) but I am at my wits end!

Any advice (however silly) would be great!

could be air tempature sensor

could be the fuel injector sticking, thats not that uncommon on a 55 or 60. give the top of the air box a thump next time it wont start, that usually gets them going if thats the problem.
