hey

got some red brake caliper paint for free with my alloys and thought i would paint my calipers , is it just a matter or removing the tyre then caliper from the disk and painting or am i missing something ?

easy as dude! (y)

-mask off the brake lines and bleed nipple as you dont want paint on them.

-rub down with a wire brush.

-using brake cleaner (aerosol type) soak the calliper and dry off with a rag

-then allow to dry completey.

-then apply the paint (not too thickly or itll run)

*should be 30 mins to dry between coats*

apply another coat and let it dry

after its dried leave it for bout 3hrs to harden off before you put the wheel back on.

then leave for a further 24hrs to let it harden off properly......jobs a gud'n :tuhmb:

ps - i know theres paint on the pin holding the pads in but its cleaned now :)

that helped alot :D , your calipers look very nice , just how i want mine.

did you remove the calipers from the disk when you were painting or leave them on ? i will be using paint instead of spray paint so i should be able to leave them on ?

left them on the car, its easier to tske them off though.
