Hi peeps !
I hope Im not to late to the party !
somebody kindly linked me here, from one of my own threads ! I like to keep this one alive for a bit longer.
Im suffering pretty the same problems, but want to double check a few things
I picked up my car a few days back, as soon as I drove away there is no power ! The car crawls I have to work every gear just to get up to 30-35 !!! an thats on a flat road !
So I have absolutely no power, But the engine seems to tick over fine, sounds sweet tbh. When I 1st picked up the car it was reving max to 4000-4500
But no engine management light ??!!
That slowly dropped, got recovered in the end, the guy who recovered me gave me a little false hope maybe. He said it shouldnt be your turbo, engine sounds great idling. and the car was in good nick lol. He rekoned throttle sensor ???
One observation when I got home was it wouldnt rev above 2000, now I did try it with out the maf on the morning, and it revved upto 3000 ! But now it wont rev over that 3000.
1st garage wrote me off, and said turbo, and scrap it :bang:
now its with another mechanic who took the turbo off, said the turbo seems ok, just no vacuum going to the actuator or waste gauge ( I forget now)
Im hoping its going to be same problem multiplied had..........
Im interested in finding a bit more about how the vacuum system works overall !!?? As I noticed the second time at the mechanic that even after a good 20 miles driving my front brakes have not worked at all !!!!
( noted because the car has been stood for 5-6 months, but still ! are they just completely seized ? or is there something more to the braking system I should know about, that may be connected to a vac problem ! )
Would really appreciate any info ! I know I have me own thread going on but im desperate.
How have you got on millymoon ???
Im wondering if even with your vac problems, did your cars still have normal power up to a certain point ? Because mine seems complete flat it has to crawl up to the 30-40 mile point, and only through working the gears !!!
the guy who recovered me , said " its in get you home mode ??? not even limp mode ! but get you home mode, is there such a thing !!!
