help!!! I am getting MAD

Hi all,
I am new to this forum, hopefully some one can help.
I am trying to install my head unit in my fiat punto mk3
but I am having problems to fit it, well my Pioneer DEH-P945R has
a high ammount of cables and small boxes to much to fit in that small
space avaiable.
Now, any one knows if I can CUT the back plastic and make more space?
or any one has a another answer?? please help.

hi welcome to the forum if you are going mad your've come to the right place most of us are mad here not sure about the mk3 but other cars you can get an adapter to house a normal headunit and a converter for the cable.

one inserted the unit the ammount of cables wont let me insert the unit inside fully.

i have the same with my kenwood,for me it was a case of being a bit more physical with the wires and pushing them down as i slid the headunit in

once inserted the headunit in, there is only 1/2 inch on the back.
is your a punto? or Cinquecento?
I believe on the Cinquecento there is little more space, I think.

thats a big bunch of cables, i would have to see a mk3 to work out where to stick them sorry.

dave I think is mk2 not mk3 model my mistake <X reg???>

i don't know the mk2 either, the mk1 has loads of room, whats behind that plastic is it part of the heater air ducting.
