coupe 20v turbo puffs out blue smoke when first started in da morning for about five minutes and stops and when i stop at a junction but its only a puff i dont know but it only happened after the boost problem but i dont look like turbo seals and i omly have too top it up every two to three weeks.i dont know if any one could shed some light on it.

What makes you think it's not turbo oil seals?
Smoking when cold and when on overrun (slowing down for junctions) sounds just like oil seals to me.

I believe they do have the same symptoms, but the turbo seal failure is far more common on the Coupe. How many miles you done? It's not unusual for them to wear after 60-100k miles.

Yeah, you'd always suspect the turbo before anything else. Recon time. Or... time for that 28RS? I had a GT28RS by the way H, but just sold it to Taffy because I doubt I'd need the performance. Would have been fun tho!

same happened with my gt mate, take off the boost pipe to the turbo shaft end if you can get to it and check for any play in the shaft. if it moves in and out then its the seals and time to upgrade that turbo

i found out how much a new turbo from fiat was £1300 + vat thats daylight robbery so im buying one from a coupe that has done 30000miles and also manifold for £300 my turbo has just gone today smoke evrywhere:cry: (n)
