thought I'd better say HELLO!!!!! ...... Its the Seasider here (aka Keith) ...Been after a camper fer a Long long time, had various caravans & bought a Sterling Elite Amber (2012) in March this year .............................by July we'd sold the bloody awful thing...

My wife has "Heart Problems" she had a cardiac arrest in the bathroom in Feb 2013 only quick reactions on my part had her breathing again ... (apart from the 3 broken Ribs I gave her) .. we bought the Caravan to "Get away" but it being a "Fixed Bed" Marie (wife) could'nt get used to it (Or make it fer that matter) .. neither could I (I have a duff disc in me lower back) .. + the "Mental Strain" of Towing & setting up ect .. it HAD TO GO!!!!

Being a Retired Heating Eng (Brit Gas fer 30 odd years) I decided to MAKE MY OWN CAMPER the way WE WANTED IT & with the bits & bobs WE WANTED IN IT .....

looked all over the UK fer a Ducato just could not find one at
A. the right Price
B. the right Mileage (Fer my budget)
C. the right Spec (height/length ect)

Finally found a 2007 Citroen Relay HDi 120 6 speed X 250 (same Bloody thing innit!!) for sale by a "Veg company" in Leeds .... & I set about converting it ..

Heres the Pics of the 99.999% finished thing .. (think I need another window on the passenger side yet) & definitely some Air Suspension fitting

Your thoughts are welcome (even if yer think its a Bag-O-****e) I dont Bite & NEVER take offense just HONEST thoughts & Opinions

STAY SAFE out there

Keith

Thats a lovely job.
I've got an old battered fiat ducato,1986.
65 mph down hill ;-)

Looks great Keith!
Much more space than in our Adria Maxivan, even after I threw the strange double bed out that was attached to the ceiling.
But didn't you forget a breakfast/ding table?

nope!!! thats it hangin on the wall at the back .. hinged down & stick a "Leg" under it .. (actually I've changed it now.. the edge of the table when folded up was catching the Mrs's back when she was asleep so I've put a Removable table with a steel pole in there now) ..just pop out the table & pole & lie it on the floor when we make up the bed ect.

Looks great did you make the furniture or is it ex a caravan. The only thing I would say is I would enclose the gas bottle in its own locker with a dedicated permanent bottom vent to the outside. As it is there's a very large cavity with lots of air circulaion in the event of a leak.

You cannot see it from the photo angles but I have fitted a "PC Fan" (12 Volt) just under & to the left side of the Gas Bottles it runs on a permanent supply & removes any & all "Smells" from the compartment (That "Shelf" also contains my fresh water Tank & Waste Water tanks) ...there is a small vent to the top right of the compartment to allow "Replacement" / fresh air in also

the "Guts" of the camper are from an Insurance Write-Off Bailey caravan .......(I'm told the owner got "Side Swiped" by a HGV & the HGV's Mirror cut the offside panel completely open from front to back) ...
