Hello all I'm Mike a new member who has trawler this forum for a number of months. My wife has a 2015 500 1.2 lounge as a 2nd car and run around. She has had it around 18 months its a cat N with 40,000 miles.on it when purchased.

It was a little rough around the edges interior very grubby and not really loved but engine bay didn't look too bad. The service history wasn't known but for 3k seemed a good buy.

Having had fiat before we have been using a local specialist who has become a little slack of late. I bit the bullet took some great advice off here and changed the oil, filter and air filter. Flushed out the coolant and put new front discs and pads on. The oil looked pretty grim and its only 4000 miles since the last service.

It's done me a favour really as I've now got back into spannering. Having had a few health issues come out of nowhere I can't do as much as I used to im 49 but feel like 70! This has given me the chance to clear my head and feel like im doing something a little worthwhile.

Thank you all for the valuable experiences on these threads that has given me the confidence to do some home maintenance!

Great to her from you and its good that the car gives you something to focus on and hopefully enjoy. Welcome to the forum. Once you get into the car you will find they are good to work on. They are simple and nothing much to go wrong. Old design means the engineering is a bit basic in places, but its none the worse for this. Im getting over some issues and hope I can get back into getting our family fleet back to 100%. Ive been been cleaning my wifes Panda for 3 weeks... Im hoping it will be back to par tomorrow. At least its cleaned and paint sealed for the winter. Its a 2014 with 45K on the clock but when clean really does look almost new.
