General Hello all, new Panda owner saying hello

Hi, just collected my first panda today. Mario is tucked up in my garage ready for preparation for mot. Looks like a new fuel pump unit is required first off. The journey begins.

The forum seems like a great source of information and I'll try to post anything I discover that may help others.

Welcome! nice to see a late panda. fuel injection so no carb and distributor to faff around with.

doe not look so bad from the pictures. just a few parts needed?

Parts list doesn't look too bad. After a quick look over it needs os headlight maybe ns headlight too (indicator lens fixings broken), number plate lights, possibly new fuel pump (needs inspection), 4 new tyres, new ns door (included with the sale ),

I might chance an MOT when all that is done. Interior needs some tlc.

I cant wait to get started. However, have a list of house diy to get through first from She who must be obeyed.

Fuel tank out. Couldn't get the pump out through the access hole in the boot. It's still bloody tight even with two hands. Will have to have a think about how to unscrew.

Nice ,I have always fancied a panda,I did look at one in the 1980 s a Fantasia model but bought a Uno instead,as for removing that big ring on the pump an oil filter chain wrench may help you .☺

Ah fuel pump fixing. I remember back in the day when my panda didn't run and was sorted changing the fuel pump,good stuff.

Your car looks nice, I like the colour.
