Hi i'm Phil, I'm not very good on the computer but hopefully I'll make sense. I've just bought a1993 Ducato motorhome so as the age suggests I'll probably have plenty of questions. The first thing that somebody may be able to help me with is how to soften a very heavy clutch.

Hi Phil 4 things can cause your clutch to be heavy ,clutch pressure plate diaphragm springs stiff , thrust bearing worn onto housing on g box Thrust bearing arms seize Or from your year clutch cable could be seized , most people would try cable first but will more likely need complete clutch kit to cure your trouble does it get heavier when engine hot ?this confirms pressure plate

Hi thanks for the help I only drove it home about 85 miles and it seemed the same hot or cold. I'll change cable and check out thrust bearing when the snow has gone. Again thanks for the advise.
