Wondered if anyone can shed any light on this problem for me.

Recently aquired a mk2 punto cheap but have noticed that it has some heating issues.
You start the car up and after a while the fan kicks in but then does not seem to turn off again. The heaters are blowing cold also.

Does this sound like thermo, air lock, or majorly the head??? I had tried flushing the system through to eliminate any possible air lock but I cant seem to get anything out.

Had checked the oil filler cap and there dosn't seem to be any of the deadly mayo round the top.

Any help would be appreciated, ta.

I'd be inclined to get it compression tested to rule out a HG.

If the fan is kicking in it's overheating.
If you've bled the system and flushed it, it's unlikely to be air.
It will overheat if there's not enough coolant or there's a big airlock.

Cheers for that, might test the coolant levels as i think alot of it is water at the moment.
