Yes, it not new or unknown.
Fiat Punto 1.2 (60 low powered horses...), year 2002.
I've fixed a handful of my Fiat's and Alfa's with heater resistor problems.
But this time, it has totally burned the connector and the wires.

It's a four (4) wire connector.
And that's the problem.
I've searched hi' & lo' at breakers, on FleaBay, Amazeun and other on-line places.
And searched FiatForum.
No luck in finding a repair set 4-wires wiring loom with plug.
BUT!
But I can find lot's of set's with 5-wires (older ones, than 4-wires? )
Does anyone know if/how the wiring should be then, converting from 4 to 5 wires?
The wiring is a little more visible here:

Changing to a 5-wire connector, I just have to be sure to get a five pin heater resistor...

cant answer your question but think of the heater resister as a bucket of water with taps on it open at different amounts
its simple then to think as each outlet as a tap turned on different
use it in conjunction with say a 21 watt bulb to ascertain which plug goes where then solder new wires on the resister by carefully breaking the side down
this can all be down in your kitchen prior to fitting
