Hi all,

Punto in need of help!!!

I've got a Mk 1 punto 60 SX. Last night when i got into my car i turned on the heater to de-mist the windscreen, as soon as i turned it on i got an almighty loud noise that gets louder the more u turn the heater up. The heat seemed to be coming out ok - it's not overheating it's just the noise thats the problem. Heater had been working fine when i used the car yesterday.

Anyone got any idea's whats causing this?

It's probably just leaves or other crap in the heater fan - they tend to get sucked into the intakes. I had the same prob a while ago, it's easily cured: take the heater fan assembly to bits (see Haynes book - the fan is mounted under the dash on passenger side) and remove all the s**t from the fan. :)
