Heater blower not working on any setting. I checked the fuse in the engine compartment which was ok. Can’t locate the resistor inside the car. It a 500 lounge 2009.
Any ideas anyone?

Think,,,, it's on the right side ie drivers side look for a plug sticking into the plastic ducting near the clutch pedal though it's odd it doesn't work on full where the resistor is bypassed?
Fuse 8 is the blower motor
At the fan motor check you have 12v on the light blue wire, earthing the black wire should make the fan run at max

Thank you for the reply. Sorry for the delayed response. I check this out ASAP. I’ll need someone to check the fan for me so may take a day or two plus I’m back to work today I don’t have a garage and it’s dark when I get home. I’ll let you know how I get on.
Thanks again.

Welcome, note the fan is switched on the earth side so provided there's a supply and assuming your car has knobs not electronic control then it's either the wiring, control knob , earth contact or less likely the resistor pack, but it's worth looking at, at the same time why not replace the cabin filter which is also in that area? When was it last replaced?

Sorry for not getting back with a reply any sooner, but I’ve got to the bottom of it. It was the heater motor fan. Which cost £25 at a local breakers. Also found the resistor. That was hidden by the motor fan. Once that was removed it was right in front of you.
Thank you for your advice. It help a lot. Glad I joined my first ever forum.
Thank you.
