Seem to have a cure for the chronic B headlight problem. 4300k (yellowish) HID's in the dipped and 100w bulbs in the mains, both sets of lights are roughly the same colour and nothing has melted yet. Major improvement, its actually possible to drive at high speed on twisty roads at night.

Only downside is that 100w bulbs are illegal for road use...

I have 100w in the main beam but my HID's are 6k............

I see they also do 125 /150/175w bulbs..but I think that might be a blown fuse/melt down sort of scenario..You've seen Dali's melting clock..clock my melting headlamps!

Exactly what happened to this ice cream van owner, I told him to go down the HID route but he ignored me and kept upgrading his standard bulb's - eventually burnt him out.....................
