Technical Head Gasket!

i got another one to add to my pile of jobs, after hearing bout description of possible headgasket goin im gonna get a gasket anyway and check it out when i strip the head down,

but question is.........i was just gonna get a gasket.

shud i get the kit with new bolts and stuff or will i be ok just with new gasket as long as i dont take off manifold etc?

It's better to use new headbolds. If you where lucky the manifolds can stay on the head. if the head is still flat.

Always use new bolts - if you don't and the bolts are stretched you will have wasted all that time.

It's also worth considering getting the head skimed and pressure tested, just in case, in line with the above.

Headgaskets are quite reliable on MPI seis rather then SPI seis why are you gettin it checked??? is there mayonnaise colour under the oil cap????

If car working, don't take it to bits to fnd out why.
