I was charging my Nokia phone tonight, and on starting my engine again with the charger left in, my clock, interior lights (inc boot courtesy light), and CD player power completely went.

Everything else works fine...leading me to think I've blown a fuse.

How do I replace the fuse in the 1996/7 P Reg punto, and how much will the fuse for these features cost? Can I fit it safely myself?

Thanks,

John Russell

fuse will be about 10p the fuse box is behind the little shelf type thing on drivers side (uk) you undo to screws at the top to open it. if your lucky there might be some spares in there aswell :)

thanks dave - that was really helpful!! I successfully opened the panel, and got the fuse out, but stupidly dropped it beind the panel and behind the interior carpeting (which I aint removing!!) lol It was grey, and I think it was "25" - different to all the other ones in there, but I'm not sure.

Do you know? Or will they know at the dealer? It's definitely for "Services" (middle fuse on the top row).

argh - it's not the services fuse (which i replaced this morning). What other fuse could it be?

It won't have been the 25 amp fuse that protects the radio, ciggie lighter etc. It'll more likely be a 10 amp one (possibly red?) Sometimes it can be hard to spot if a fuse has blown or not.

I've fixed it! It was a little red fuse with a silly icon that didn't really look like anything!

Thanks for your help guys :)
