Hi Guys

I drive a 1100 Uno. I have had an intermittant starting problem where she cranks but no spark. If you wait a while, she eventually starts. I started by replacing the electrical module on the distributor but she did it again. I have now replaced the coil pack as well. The distributor cap and rotor seem fine.

What have I missed?

You say that the problem is intermittant - are there any contributing factors that stay the same when the problem occurs, such as cold or wet weather, or after a particularly long drive?

Hi,

Try changing you ignition HT leads. I had problems with my 1100 Uno once and after much searching I changed the HT leads and the problem went away. Being carbon cored leads they do wear with age and resistance builds up in them.

Hope this helps.

Andy
