My hard drive appears to have some lag it's weird...
If i'm not doing anything for around a minute or so, everything stops then I hear a "vvvrrrrrrrrr" coming from my computer then everything comes into play again about 2 seconds later
This can be anything from browsing the internet to even music - it just stopping completely, vrrrrrrrr then the music continues.
Now I've just got CSS it's doing it mid game, everything stops, vrrrr, comes back on and I'm dead.
The monitor freezes, it doesn't turn off or anything.

Any idea guys?
Thanks. Dan

If its defiantly Hard drive noise, first thing to do would be to disable all power management in control panel to make sure Windows ain't powering the hard drive off (even though your playing a game ).

Next would be to check the physical health of the HardDisk. Download "Hirens BootCD" http://www.hirensbootcd.net/

Burn it and boot from it. Within there theres a "S.M.A.R.T Health" tool in the Hard disk tools section. Run it and see if it flags up any serious health warnings.

If thats OK run "Seagate Sea Tools" from the same menu and run an extensive scan.

This should bring to light what's going on. Personally I think its your Hard Disk on the way out, how old is it? Back up your stuff somewhere in the meantime.
