Hi all.

In the process of replacing the rear wheel brake cylinders I ran across the problem that on the right rear I couldn’t get the handbrake to hold the wheel to get the hub nuts undone. Looking at the adjusters I could see they were fully wound out so I couldn’t tighten them up further.

So moving inside the car I checked the leaver itself which was slid as far forward as possible and upon removing it I think I have found the problem. My leavers pulley seems to be wrong. Basically only one half of a pulley wheel that is the full width of the gap it should sit in but the cable sits lower than it should taking what I think is a shorter path and it is jammed so it pulls up the left rear fin but not the right.

Could someone confirm if there should be two halfs to the pulley (seems to look like that from pictures I’ve seen) and also what it’s dimensions are so I can see if I can find a suitable replacement before I got getting a whole new leaver mechanism.

Also if anyone has one spare they are willing to part that would be great.

Thanks
Al
