just bought a handbrake gaiter it is handmade I come to fitting it and its slightly baggy.

got an idea??? what does everyone think

cut the bottom off the factory rubber type gaiter and glue the leather gaiter round the cut rubber gaiter to allow the gaiter to fit better. use a metal cable tie, like what you use on a CV boot round the top to ensure a tight fit round the handle while giving a good sporty look;)

tried to describe this the best way possible what does everyone think?

I just did the same thing :(
In my case it was a VERY bad idea. The gaiter stuck to the plastic, but its still really baggy, and even though I used an elastic -one of those round ponytail thingy's from my wife's hair "kit" - still didn't fit as tight as I'd like. I tried a cable tie, but it was visible and looked crap.
I've now decided to get a leather custom made one, direct from an Italian artisan, that will cover the whole brake lever right up to the button. All you'll see it the actual button peeping out (sort of like a condom with the tip cut off). The body of the gaiter will be purposely made baggy. Total cost? €30.
