General Guys I need a couple of bits....

and I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

It's a long story I'll cut short but basically I've been contacted by a man in Dublin whos been building a Panda for his son and himself to go on a pilgramiage. His son was terminally ill and unfortunately lost his fight against cancer earlier this year before they got the car finished. Unfortunately his other son and himself are now suffering the same illness but they are very up beat about the whole thing and are more than ever determind to go on their treck.

All they need is a rhd bonnet cable and handle and a sunroof clip. The car has twin sunroofs and its the part attached to the roof of the car that the lever locks into to close the roof.

So if anyone knows were I can come across these bits I'd greatly appreciate it as I'm very keen to see this happen and they are no longer available from Fiat. I plan on giving the car the once over before they head off early in the new year.

Hi Stuart,

I was contacted by Gordon about these parts but wasn't able to help. I know that you can get the sunroof part in Italy. Someone posted an ebay link a while ago of that part made in metal rather than the flimsy plastic, hopefully they can do it again.

Just to add, it's the long cable that goes from the lever on the R/H side across to the L/H, into the engine bay and joining the catch from the left.

I don't know how much they want stick to originality but I'm sure they could do a better job of making a bonnet opening system than Fiat did.
