I'm grabbing a crank sensor from Todger tomorrow, and will be drilling it, and temporarily installing a hall sensor into the housing. I can crank the car now, so depending on how it goes tomorrow with the million and one things to do, I should have an update :)

You want me to check the work before u buy one?

BTW, in case anyone is wondering, I'm replacing a VR sensor with a hall sensor on the crank. Better noise immunity is the main benefit :)

II was going to test it today, but i cycled to work on the car again (18-19 mile round trip) and forgot the keys!!! DOH!!

I did pick up a crank sensor off Todger on the way and proceeded to gut it though :)

AA lot of drilling and mess later and I hav the following::

Sadly it'll be a week before I can do any more :(

Horray for slow progress :worship:

The internal wiring (apart form the earth and a little tidy) is all done :)

The wiring is routed all behind the bulkhead, so I don't need to have the dash installed to acomadate and wiring. The only thing the dash now does is direct air to the screen, and support the heater controls and switch panel (only using rear fog and hazard now). I'm considering different switches, and dial for the heater and modifying the heater control, so I don't need the dash, but the "remains" I have left are quite light anyway. The amount of wires I've chopped, removed, reworked and re-soldered is totally mind numbing though!

Next it's onto the engine loom. That will progress pretty quickly as it's a piece of pie. Can't wait as I miss the sound of it (especially after going in todger's Chalky!).

Sadly there's another massive delay as I'm working for the next 15 days...boo hoo.

It's certainly not an approach I've seen done before, so i'm happy with that :)

This will be tidied once I've run the injector, wideband and fuel pump wires, then i can place it all in conduit:

The fuse panel....massivly reworked with a few spare slots not  It's currently mounted in the old part of the dash. At some point I'll remount it tidier, but it'll do for now :) :

Just looked it up...looks like non split conduit. Can't be arsed with that lol. The car is not all about looks anyway, and i think apart from a littl etidy, the wiring itself is pretty neat. A bit of trim back on, a bit of tape and a bit of split conduit, and it'll be alright for me :)
