would a gsr induction kit fit a 1.2 8v mk2b punto, and if so i think id be expecting about a 4-5 bhp increase and if i was to get a performance exhaust system to go with it would i expect around another 4-5 bhp increase? And what does a remap do to your engine, what are the benefits of it?

Re: Rolling Road & Induction Kit

Mk2 punto 8V is done ..have a look on this site

http://www.gsr-uk.co.uk/engineering/pages/productsbycar/fiat/fiat_pun2.htm

Mapping alters the way the engine performs things like fueling ..spark..and ignition timing can be altered .. If you have any questions on the punto ask other people that have had their cars done for advise ..or PM Oldschool he will explain everything you will need to know ..you can aways pop along to this as well (y)

Immediately after fitting the induction without the ECU learning to adapt peak to peak power increases by about 2% and peak torque at 3500rpm increases by 5% at a much lower 1800rpm. This means through the rpm range it ranges from 0 to 5bhp (flywheel) and 0 to 9lb ft (wheels).

I am waiting for the car to come back for a rr run with the adapted ECU.
