General Grrrrrrrrr Nicked Me Stereo!

bastards drilled through the door on the passenger side and opened it and nabbed my stereo

anyone have any idea how much this kinda thing will be to mend .... needs a whole new door to get rid of the hole?

also anyone had any experience with these kind of claims on their insurance ... i dont have any no claims at the moment so i aint gonna lose anything but .... will my insurance be a hell of alot higher next year?

If theyve just drilled the lock area then you can fill it and spray it if your any good at that kinda thing. Also put a plate on the door that stops them doing it again of get a decent alarm. Sorry to hear the bad luck anyway, some scum really will do anythin.

i guess i could try to fill it but the drill has kinda warped the metal around the hole ... its dented up a bit too

still the excess on my insurance is 250 quid ... im gonna get some quotes before i claim ... if i can get the work done for less then ill just buy a new stereo myself i guess :bang: :yuck:

I had my car broken into in the summer, and they nicked my cd player as well!

Thing is though stupid little git did it in a car park with CCTV, so he got arrested but I still had to fork out for a new stereo cause my excess on my inurance is £500! not worth f**king my no claims just for the stereo.

how harsh are these people!
my old car got broken into about year ago ...it was on my driveway!...they cut the seal around the back window popped the glass out without breaking it i heard a noise as i had only just gone to bed looked out window but by time me and my dad run down they had run off (must of see me look out) luckily they only had time to pull my sub out!

took it to the bodyshop today and they rekon ill need to do the whole door

the most annoyin part of all is hell only get like 30 quid for a nicked stereo no matter how nice it was ........ if he left a note on my windscreen sayin gimme 30 quid or ill wreck your door and nick the radio i woulda given him the cash!

mate dont claim on your insurance or you will pay for years to come if its 250 for your excess its gonna cost about the same to get it repaired yourself and you wont pay the extra next year aswell

nah i taken it to a couple of bodyshops they rekon it needs a new door skin which is (according to them) about 500 quid.... thats no to mention the lost stereo
