My rears are grinding and ocasionaly sticking, so I done a pad check and there still 40% good, so I done a quick strip down and clean then a quick inpection to see if any things wrong which wasn't obvious.
Does anyone have any ideas? Going to book it in the dealers for a service Monday!

Heard of lots of people complaining about grinding brakes lately. Mine, Mrs 001's, a friend's. All were checked and are OK - I think it's to do with the weather meaning councils are having to chuck a load of sh*t on the roads. If you have a couple of hard stamps on the brakes and/or it has gone after a few minutes of driving, I would say you are OK.

As for squeaking - should hear mine. I'd be proud of it in a choir!

yea ive had the same problem, took it back to fiat to get the brakes changed, after a little "disagreement" they done it, but that didnt stop it, so i guess its all the s**t on the roads atm lol, also my handbrake sticks from time to time, which i also think is the weather.

my rears stick if left over the weekend with handbrake on. when i first pull away they make a bang where the come unstuck. they then grind like hell for a mile or so until they warm up. I can't be bothered to deal with it its too cold to strip them down. i'll give them a clean when i paint the calipers when i can be bothered to do them!

Mine feel grindy every so often but not enough to be bothered with "fixing". And that is on "clean" roads. The thing that does bother me is when I back out of a driveway and brake in reverse. They don't squeal, they howl. I'd thought some sort of cleaner/antisqueal stuff may fix this but again have not been bothered enough to do it yet.
