The chrome tweeter rings finally arrived from Japan and I'm very pleased with the effect. However, inspired by Baglady's interior modifications, I'd really like to get hold of a pair of grey speaker grilles to enhance the effect (to my doubtful taste anyhow!).

Does anyone have a pair or know of a possible source, bearing in mind that I'm downunder?

That's a good idea, and I certainly could, but getting the exact shade of grey (out of 50?;)) and texture to match the dash top might be problematic. I'd also be concerned about how the paint might stand up to the heat and UV it'd be subjected to in this part of the world. Nonetheless I'll consider it as a last resort.

They look fantastic!! You could buy a replacement set of tweeter grills and spend some time spraying very light coats as not to clog the holes and if any do just punch with a needle but only from the front!

Thanks. I wasn't sure they'd work on the cream trims but now they're on I'm very pleased with them. I had the flat stainless ones before but they were rather dull.

I don't want to have to paint the grilles for the reasons above but if I do I'll try the airbrush. It'd be simpler all round to get hold of a pair of grey ones, I've contacted a local wrecker to see if they have any.
