hi im new to the forum and i have a question.

i have a grande punto tjet sporting and i was wondering if the abarth esse esse kit would fit the tjet or is it built for the abarth only.

thanks alot

andy

ok thanks. what would the easiest way to get power gains be? i understand a remap. but are there other ways?

thanks alot

andy

best way for more power, depending on budget, would be remap, GSR, front mounted intercooler, new exhaust. I think this is what matt has gone for, around 160bhp

where abouts are you based anyway.

im in stafford midlands. yeah i checked out matts mods budget aint really an option. whats would you suggestion be to do first?

i was thinking about going for the induction kit myself. how much do remaps cost on average? and any advice is more than welcome thank you (y)

thanks alot for all the advice. i think all the above is what i will do haha. is there any point in fitting a dump valve? or is it a waste of time?

the dump valve is worthless really and youll get abused for having one from the others (y)

if you get the gsr induction youll hear the recirc valve and that sounds like a dump valve and it also gives you cooler air aswell, its around 200 specifically designed for the car, not a universal piece.

you can get a discount on that from performancefiat forum aswell.

if you search theres already a hell of alot on modifications for the tjet for big and little budgets. :)

thats a no to the dump valve then haha. i will have a look on performance fiat now. i know the car has 120bhp but who doesnt want more :D. ive been quoted 259.99 for a catback system at a place near to where i live. is that to pricey or pretty reasonable?

depends on the garage tbh, imo references are what matters,

i and a couple others went enfield near london paid 300 for a custom stainless cat back but the garage is recommended (and share premises with Red Dot-the recommended guys for remapping our tjet)and has a lifetime gaurantee

i got a 2 1/4 inch bore straight threw no mid box thats the same dimensions the abarth has, as with a turbo car you dont need much if any backpressure to draw out the gases like you would with a N/A car but then again wrong sizes and set up can lose power too so thats why i think if you get enough people who have rolling road read outs proving gains or just those very happy with the product then go for that garage.

i think a trip to london is on the cards. as i can get the remap and exhaust done in the same day. thanks for the advice last thing i want to be doing is spending lots of money on somethin that could sap power.

no problems ive asked these things before and spend lots of hours with the search facility! whats your final goal though, ultimate power or abit more power but manly for sound?

if you do decide to go london you should remember that remapping costs more outside of the organised club days, the exhausts take 2-3hours and need booking in, fitting the gsr is a 30-45min job too so just dont get excited on the hope you can get it all done in a day :)

i know cos i get over excited with most things too lol good things come to those that wait haha

i dont wanna go over the top with the power gains. 150-160 i think will be ample amount for front wheel drive.

yeah i like the noise of a well tuned car. but your advice has been most helpful. i will put it to good use (y)

tbh just get the induction exhaust and the remap it all together then youll get all the noises you want i asked the guy to build it abit quiet so instead of scooby loud i want pops n crackles with the deep bass so its quite a song when i rev up and then let off :slayer:good luck!

scooby loud is to loud. but thanks alot for your advice. the induction kit first i think. then exhaust then remap. thanks again. i will post up what rsults i get.
