Technical Grande Punto Acceleration problem

So, my Grande started to missbehave. Can you tell me what is the most possible problem for my Fiat. Everytime i push gas pedal, revs go up but car just dont accelerate as it should. After few seconds revs drop and car start to accelerate. Any idea what is happening? The problem is most extreme after gear change.

Automatic gearbox ?

It sounds like 'Clutch Slip'..

On a manual that is simple

But the Duologic Auto is complicated

if the revs go up high, but the car doesn’t go faster, then there is an issue between the engine and the road, that issue is either a slipping clutch on a manual car, or automatic fiats that use an Electronic clutch, or a problem with the electronic gearbox and how they operate the clutch on those automatic gear boxes.

pretty much what @varesecrazy said, if it’s a manual you change the clutch, if it’s an auto then it could be the clutch, or if could be a hold host of other complicated electronics playing up
