I bought my Grande Punto 1.4 as a runabout until I have my Grand Voyager gearbox fixed and then sell the Fiat. However that was the plan but not now. When my Chrysler is fixed I will be selling it and keeping the Fiat.

I'm enjoying £165 road tax v £360 road tax.

I'm enjoying 43 mpg on short runs v 22 mpg.

I love the 61 mpg motorway driving v 38 mpg.

The only drawback is the 77 bhp which leaves the car struggling on some Welsh hills. Next year I will be swapping over to a 1.4 16v rather than 1.4 8v I currently have. I could get an Abarth model but I don't need the extra power.

The fuel figures were a little higher on the display but experience has taught me that the figures are inaccurate, so I reset the trip mileage and then fill the fuel tank.

I also bought a Grande Punto 2009 at the end of July to replace my rather battered Panda and am also loving it! Only thing is I can't figure out what the buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel are for! Advice please?

I've done a few miles in Chanelle on the motorway it's not uncomfortable. I expected to be aching but I was well surprised when I wasn't. I'm loving my little Fiat.

This is the mileage when I bought Chanelle
