i use my GPS M-JET (which i`ve renamed to a PS190) as i got the engine remapped and a new air system as i didn`t like the short gear ratio, mostly on the motorways and it is a solid performer. Performs alot better and the turbo is capable of sucking in small children off the street which is sweet i have also managed to up my MPG too which is always a winner
Whats a remap and air system got to do with the gear ratios or have you had them changed?

they brung the t-jet out also becuase they needed a basis for the abarth cars. the abarth tradition is to build upon a pre produced car and make it faster.

is allt he mjet owners are goign to say is 'ah we remap go faster' then all im going to say is. 'ah bigger turbo we go faster now'

Yep.

I liked the lazy torque of my Mjet, but give me a tuned t-jet any day of the week.

Maybe he's referring to when the turbo comes in and powerband etc. Even so, it does not in any way cure the short powerband problem diesels have.
Thats what I was thinking.

We know a GSR for instance increase torque lower down the rev range, does that mean you can go faster at a certain rpm after the GSR than before due to more torque hitting the tarmac earlier on?

Or does it just mean you go through the rev range quicker and hence accelerate to a quicker speed and higher rpm quicker.

The result is conclusive :)

There is no conclusion sadly. :p It just shows that if everyone bought by using their heads less people drive on A roads and motorways so bought a diesel, and more drive socially and domestically on B roads and street runs so bought a TJet.

Simple really, cutting out the bullshine TBH.

well to me the Tjet felt like an underpowered sluggish lumput thats just me.

mjet might be a lump but it'll be like shiz off a stick when its mapped

OMG this Thread goes around and around....

Yes it will be / is like shiz off a stick for a warmhatch, but in a different way that different people think differently on...

mjet ownser statin the maping side is the same as me saying -

tjet will go like a shizz of a stick with 2 skyline tubbys and a big bore exhaust,a nd NOS, and a FMIC, and knife cut cranks, lightened flywheel, GSR induction (2 will be needed of course) and more NOS.

get over the fact that a standard mjet is slightly poorer than a standard tjet. it doesnt matter at the end of the day.

He can say what he wants, look at paper figures they aint faster. And yes i will say it feels faster because of the torque as that is what makes it feel faster retard. Diesel dumps a big load of torque at once compared to a Tjet having power all through the rev range and having to work the engine unlike diesels.

And accept what? That you have no clue and cant argue your point anymore as you have ran out of sh*te excuses/ reasons for stuff. Ok i will, i know what is faster out of standard Tjet/Mjet though.

at least someone aggreed with me :p

you dont make any sense. you contradict eveyrthing you say and have no personal evidence to back any of your claims.

so which one do you think is better having no experience of either?

i nearly bought the mjet but was put off when i mentioned remapping and he mentioned it affecting the warranty as it was a new car, went on a huge test drive though.

i'm taking my mothers car into fiat and collecting the courtesy car tommorow so ill test drive a tjet.

test driving and living with are two completely different things.

and why would you think a remap wouldnt void a warrenty. :bang:
