Hey Guys just to warn you about a problem that has appeared on my GP.
Please check your fuel line into the engine (I presume 1.9 only)as on mine the fuel line has been rubbing on one of the reinforced brake lines casuing a hole in it.
looks like a design flaw as the fuel pipe will move arround with engine vibrations where as the brake line is static as it is connected to the body.

Enclosed is the piccie - where the two lines touch there is three grooves worn into the underside of the fuel line.

Got it booked into be replaced on Thursday (£138) but FiatCare saying not under warranty (3rd year)- WTF!!! Anyway spoke to Fiat UK and someone will get back to me - took the piccies to reinforce my case.
(you may have to enlarge the piccie to see the area)

What do you think ? Warranty claim justified?

Chris

Mate your pipes n cables r in a mess. mine are all neatly tagged to the bulkhead and away from the fuel line. One of your clips is out too as you can see a big hole to the left for it to fit in.

get yourself down anyway, doesnt matter

I was in Leeds Thurs 30th, Middleton Grove off the Dewsbury Road.

Jeez I'm glad I dont live in a city... the one-way sytem/systems in Leeds are a nightmare! And my Navman Satnav took me to the local Audi dealers instead of Middleton Grove...

Went to Liverpool on Wednesday then shot over to Leeds from there after over-nighting at Albert Dock then went home at 4.00 p.m. took me 3 blo*dy hours!.

310 mile round trip and averaged 56.8 Mpg... just over half a tank of diesel (y)

UPDATE

Well I had my fuel pipe replaced - fiat uk agreed to cover the cost of the part and half the labour costs so I ended up paying £38 - so not a bad result I suppose.
But as I paid towards the repair, the replacment part is covered by a 12 month warranty (my 3rd warrranty runs out in jan) so not too bad.
