Yes I have reported it as I have with all my modifiacation and they wont buy the sorry I havnt opened my bonnet bit If they should inspect your car your insurance is void the moment you dont disclose any thing that you should have  bugger forgot to disclose my wooden leg would that mean I havnt got a leg to stand on  groan :)

they do care its classed as a power increase, mine was only £16 extra for kit and remap, policy says "modification, power increase up to 20%"
if any insurance told me they wasn't bothered then i would ask for it in writing, because when you come to claim they will say we didn't say that.

Just fitten new springs 50mm drop to a MK4 Golf today the girl has £800 OZ alloys and hasnt told the company about them either! Dont think i'd like to be her :O as in an accident i've always noted if the other car has any mods etc.

declare everything, wether its parts you have bought for power or even simple cosmetics, my marea door handles on the 1.2 are declared ffs... at the end of the day the surveyor will know what they are looking for if the case comes to it, so declare the lot and be insured, or for the sake of a few quid a month dont and then actually not be insured... hmmmm i wonder!

declaring mods? dont be so silly! unless its fully comp it will never make a difference, and even if it is fully comp you'd have to be the unluckiest person in the world to have a problem.

maybe a new poll would be useful: have you ever had insurance voided due to undeclared mods?

:yeahthat: Totally agree.

I know someone who made a huuuuuge (3rd party) claim with loads of undeclared mods including body kit stainless exhaust induction kit neons and many too more to mention. It was a burk that nearly killed someone on a bus stop!.

They paid out even to him as he was fully comp he was then banned for 2yrs.

Well I know a story to the contrary. I think I went through it a month or two back. I believe the guy is a member on here (he's a ClubCento member too) - https://www.fiatforum.com/insurance/79280-lowering.html
