Not posted often on here, but wanted to see if anyone has any opinions about the Fiorino van

My son and I have both got Qubos, mine's an 11 reg, his is a 10.

Last year (Feb/March) we both had to replace front springs - OK he's done a fair bit of mileage, but mine even this year still has only 21000ish on the clock. So that's a couple of big bills on newish cars.

Other half has got his eyes (if not pocket) on a Fiorino van, but if it's going to wear out as quick as some of the bits on the Qubo he's wondering if it will be worth it, would he be better tarting up his 2005 Punto van (2005 reg, not done 60,000 yet)

My Qubo also appears to eat tyres - I've been sticking to the recommended pressures but it got through two front tyres in a year (and if I did 6,000 miles it was an overstatement) - anyone else had the same problem, and have you increased the pressures a bit to see if it helps?

The tyre situation can be improved by a credible alignment. Had inner wear issues myself until finally decided to try that but has to be done properly. Also was annoyed when one spring broke and had them both replaced. Also had the top bearings go but that was just before warranty ran out. But these are simple enough issues and they are a solid enough platform. I service it myself tax is silly cheap and the mpg and poke are ok (we have the 95 Hp). Euro car parts and the like would not run fleets of them if they were flakey!
