Google problems anyone?

Google problems anyone?

Hmmmmm I can access it via the .com link on the .de website, and I can access .co.uk just fine. Maybe they are doing something international for the olympics, or have decided that I'm in Belgium (as a recent backwards IP thing seemed to think) and thinks it's being kind by sending tme to my nearest site. I managed to find the 'Bild' I was after anyway :).

So am I (also antivirus runs constantly etc.). This is why I also found it weird that anyone would be able to hack into browsers no-one ever manages/ bothers to hack into. In case no-one bothered to read my first post I shall post yet again that I usually use the integrated google (in fact any search engine search) section on my address bar (alongside the built-in pop-up manager - not killer but manager), however on this occasion I wanted pictures not regular search (bear this in mind for v8 developers please). Doesn't really bother me, just WEIRD.

PS. no more patronising comments please, helpful ones only ;)

I'm no computer wiz, I'm old and to prove my point programming the video seems to be getting harder!

Idea though - are you using a proxy server? NTL have given me a list of them to use for when the service goes snail-slow (all too often) and some sites think I'm in Bristol or wherever the servers are located...

Well I still had this problem when visiting google.com as opposed to using the toolbar (which always goes to .com). Also had plenty of ads on sites which were in German so after further investigations on a DNS lookup it turned out the internet seems to think I'm based in Germany. Have now started using a US proxy and now it seems to think I'm based in Dallas, which is fine by me and everything is back to normal. So cheers Pete for being right only the wrong way round - rep coming your way ;).
