My son has a fiat panda 1.1 and it has a grinding noise when he turns the steering wheel,we put it in Halfords for a health check,they said it was the steering rack,so off I went and got Mr clutch to change the rack,the noise is still their,Mr clutch said it's the electronic power steering pump,but an independent person has said it's the steering column,so basically I don't want to throw anymore money at it anyone got any thoughts.thanks in advance

First don't panic, the vast majority of power steering faults are normally simple and cheap fixes especially if it starts failing mainly in your winter months But unfortunately nobody can say change this or do that and it fix it. A lot of different faults will cause the same symptoms or the...

I would work through the common problems (earth, power supply) before replacing any further parts.
