blue 80 sx on a t plate 75tho odd miles clutch release bearing gone also has not had a cam belt and needs a water pump no service history had no probs till the clutch had it for 2.5 years never missed a beat but its looking scabby so just bought a mint y plate with 57tho mlies the old one needs to go its going to the scrappy unless someone wants to come pick it up you'll need a tralier got all keys inc red one

seems a shame to scrap it when all it needs is a bit of tlc. Admittedly, it sounds like it needs £500 worth of tlc, but a shame nonetheless as once it was done, you'd have relatively few worries for a few more years

I must be thick, but does the original post say something about scrapping a 1.2 and purchasing a y-plate?

I've read it twice but struggling with punctuation :(

sorry about the punctuation, i'm a lazy typer
the old one (t plate) was a very reliable car (for 2.5 years) but as it has next to no history so i was loath to spend much money on it, thinking it might be the start of those thing that all wear out at the same time, and you just plow through or cut it loose and start again. the new one (y plate) is very clean ,lower mileage and well serviced so should be just as reliable and worth keeping for another 2-3 years.
 
do you still have it? if so i may be able to take it off your hands?? oh i can also collect...
