Why not wait until an HGT Abarth gear stick turns up in the adverts.
BTW, many older Vauxhauls used a lifting collar reverse gear selector.

whats the difference between the standard and hgt knobs? would the vauxhauls fit?

The Punto HGT Abarth has a nice gearknob so if you like them probably worth the effort to fit. The Vauxhaul idea is a sort of joke but the parts might interchange as they share parts with Fiat.

just out of interest, is the facelift gear knob the same push on knob as the mk2 with the exception of having the coloured inset to show the gears? only ask as ive seen a '03 punto knob on ebay, but it states it screws on?
The one on my Mk2b seems to be more than screwed on. been tryin for ages to get it off. seems like fiat coated it in super glue first
