Technical Gearbox

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone can help me, my clutch was slipping last week so i got hold of a new clutch and had it fitted. The guy who fitted thought it might be worth getting a new gearbox because it is leaking well any way week later and its slipping again. :bang: So it looks like i'm going to need a new gearbox!


I've rang round all the local breakers after a second hand gearbox and all of them say there like gold dust...

So has anyone got one there selling or know of a place i can get hold of one for a reasonable price, i tried those on the t'internet and they want £200-£250 which i don't really wanna pay.

Any help is much appreciated,

I was in the breakers in derby & 4 mk 1 punto 5 speeds still had the engine & box in

even still there should be plenty of breakers yards with mk2/2b (they are the same) gearboxes. Try www.breakeryard.com I had at least 3 different places reply to me with gearboxes they have available (it dosent matter about distance they courier them out to you for a small charge)
