Technical Gear Selection Gate Adjustment?

Ever since i had my 'box out, 6 months ago, the gate has never quite felt the same.
Maybe its placebo, maybe its me or maybe its Sommin wrong... Ive been plagued with reverse selection gremlins for quite a while now, which i was puttin down to a bodged repair on the 'forward/backward' cable... This shat itself the other week and has been replaced with an identically part numbered 2nd hand cable. I had to adjust the afore mentioned cable mounting eye on the side me the block and Will be doing it again shortly but my gate still feels too far over to the left... Whats goin on and how can i adjust it?

I stand to be corrected, but I don't think there is any adjustment at what you call the 'selection gate' end. AFAIR any adjustment has to be done on the selector cables at the gearbox end.

i dont care which end as long as its possible to adjust it lol

all Im saying is that the whole gate seems to have shifted to the left ie 3rd and 4th are slightly off to the left rather than central if that makes any sense... Ill do a diagram when i get home if it would help
