Technical gear change problem

hopefully sum1 can help.
i have just fitted a new clutch to a fiat punto mk2 2002 evryfin works great exept the fact it wont go into 5th gear, all ova gears are fine, can any1 help please?

You need to adjust the cable, it has an adjustment on the end near the bal joint.

can you put it in gear 5 with engine off?, and did it work fine before the clutch change? could be a linkage problem
