I just got a 1972 127 with only 37K Km for Italy.
My kids got it imported for me from Italy to the usa.
I had one as my first car and it was my favorite,I am 61 years old now.
Best Christmas gift ever.
Looks like the gas neck rubber hose is leaking, also there is gas under the carburetor in the drip pan.
It idles low ,I adjusted the screw on the carburetor closest to the fire wall and it’s a little better but the alternator red light come on very faint until I push the gas a little or pull the choke.
Help will be appreciated,

I love it.

Great Birthday gift !

looks like a rearly early deluxe spec !

Do you use regular unleaded gas or higher octane.
If it has the original 903cc OHV engine, then regular gas should be fine (91 RON was specified back in the day). This engine had hard valve seats fitted as standard to the alloy head so should be fine to use unleaded gas.
