General Garret T3 Turbo Has arrived

Well the turbo has arrived today and looks in good condition cant wait to get it strapped on the engine now so can have the intercooler pipes made up as soon as engine is in car.

I got the same turbo, needs recon tho.

Thats how I bought it, how much should I pay for it as I not yet paid.

I ow my dad money for it but we havnt agreed a price yet.

Also what supporting mods would I need to run it?

I paid £75 delivered but i have recently found out that it may not fit so bit gutted lol

The one Iv got has come off a 20vt so should fit, maybe you need diffrent manafold?

You need a different manifold, flange, it's not going to be easy to fit. Flog it and get the correct type (the T3 will fit a 16VT so sell it to another coupe owner maybe)

Got mine listed up on ebay as we speak as ive seen a 2871r for hardly anything.

Just make sure it's geniune, plenty of Chinese copies that look authentic (until you fit them and they melt!) Should have Garrett on the little plate that has the serial number on them, that's on every one.

What is the better turbo tho?

gt28rsr or the garet t3.
Also mine has got 360 roller bearing, is that standard on them turbos?

I'd forget about the T3 if it was me, aint worth the hassle getting a new manifold / flange.

the GT28 series bolt straight on.
