Punto ELX 2000 fuse panel door won't close properly, turnbuckles won't turn to lock it into place. Any ideas please ?

thats odd, are you sure you aren't turning them too far or not enough?
check that there is nothing trapped in the cover stopping it fully closing.
it takes a 1/4 of a turn to secure them (use a penny). check the two tabs on each haven't broken off.

btw, i'm assuming you're talking about the panel to the right of the ignition.

Many thanks Craig for yor reply - I've now come to the same conclusion.

The slots in the head had been churbed up where the previous owner had struggled as I did to push them in hard, fully closing the door panel before turning them. They do lock into place provided the panel is left quite loose. Even so loose, there is no rattle and it isn't particularly visibe so seems fair enough.

Many thanks for taking the trouble for me.
