I have recently come to notice when i put my foot on the brake the light on the button for the rear fog lights come on although the fog lights themselves dont come on. this also happens if i put the left indecator on but not if i put the right on and the same with the reverse lights. I have checked all the bulbs both sides which appear to be fine.

Just wondering if anybody else has had the same problem or has any idea as to what might be causing this.
Thanks

Yep have had this twice on different punto, once someone had put the wrong bulb in the rear light causing a backfeed through the foglight circuit, and the second time it was a bad earth which did the same thing. Remove the lamp, check all the bulbs are correct and then tighten the terminals on the connector block, pay particular attention to the black and purple earth wire.

Congratulations you have just discovered Fiat electrics! Bad grounds are the usual cause, but never take anything for granted. Fiat have an amazing knack of finding which metals react badly when connected together & they then make all the electical connectors from them, chuck in a bit of moisture & sh*t happens.
