General fuel warning light

hi i was just wondering how many miles i would have left when the petrol light comes on. it would be good to know for future reference. i have a sei 2003 1.1

How long is a piece of string? It's entirely dependent on speed, rpm, inclination, wind direction, how much of a load you're carrying, the alignment of the stars etc etc etc. As a rough example, when I'm on a motorway at 70 and the light comes on (and stays on) I've managed to go another 30 miles at that speed. Of course, if I slowed down to 50 and stayed in 5th I could probably have gotten a lot further ...

if i´m not mistaken , when the light goes on, you roughly beetwen 5 or 7 litres left. my 99 1.1 spi does about 70-90 km urban and non-urban route.

The light goes on when you go round a corner in one direction, but not the other, so its not exactly an 'instrument'.
