Technical Fuel tank leak

My uno 999fire 1992 has failed it's mot There is a fuel tank leak ,just damp area not a dripping of fuel.Is this a plastic tank? Any ideas on sealing the tank?
How much for a new tank?

I am breaking a 93 999 fire Uno which had a new tank and sender fitted a couple of years ago.
I have the invoice which was £444, ouch lucky it was not me.
Yours for £30 if you come and collect.

Does yours have the push down reverse gear box ???? If so how much for the driveshafts ???

I don't think you should attempt to seal the tank
Epoxy resin perhaps... but it is going to be hit-and-miss...

I've never seen a problem with a plastic fuel tank before, so I reckon second-hand is fine. Be gentle when removing the fuel level sender, however... My friend James has three broken ones...

Good news, I fixed a leak in the fuel line where it comes across the top edge of the fuel tank but could not see a leak on the tank so I went back for another mot and passed
The tank is not a plastic tank(Haynes lied again).I will keep an eye on the tank in case it does leak.

That was easier than replacing the tank, some of the Uno's did have metal tanks, I had to replace my daughters, a right b!!!h of a job.
