Technical Fuel pump

Hi all,
Having some problems with my Stilo (1.9 Multijet), specifically with starting. When I turn on the ignition, there is no noise coming from the fuel pump and the engine will turn over but will not start. The engine bay fuse box got a bit of a soaking but I dried it out and gave it a bit of a cleaning and everything else seems ok. Has anyone got any ideas, I really need the car back on the road.

Check the fuel pump fuse F21 in the engine fuse box.

Check that the inertia switch in the passenger's footwell hasn't tripped.

How did you dry the fuse box. It needs to be completelly dismantled to fully dry it out. There's a guide here:

I checked the fuse and changed it anyway and checked the switch and still nothing. It was driving well today until i opened up the fuse box again to change the headlight fuse (part broke off in box) then when i put it back together, nothing!

Test for power and earth at the fuel pump under the back seat.

Problem solved! Stripped the fuse box again and on card 4 there was a break in one of the paddles. Quick lick of a soldering iron, jobs a good un. Now if only i could sort out the damn remote central locking problem ;-/
