General Fuel Injector cleaner

Have any of u guys/gals used fuel injector cleaner in yer cinqs?
If so was there a noticable difference?

have done and wouldnt say there was a big noticable difference. always wary of the placebo affect with this type of thing.
though from using it on carb'd motors and seeing a marked improvement it may be the whole injection system masks the improvments

i put some in every now and again just to clean things up a bit. can't say ive noticed much difference, but then i dont really expect to - jsut cleaning it really.

i did use a lot of neat injector (and a green scouring pad!) cleaner to clean the tops of the pistons though

Apparently the cheap injector cleaners aren't good because they contain tin. The tin wears the enginem etc. away. I don't know which ones are 'cheap' though.

I used Redex.. Lol i noticed one hell of a difference..

Unleaded petrol naturally decays in the fuel tank particularly if there is moisture and condensation in the fuel. Acids form, creating lacquer and varnish which is then deposited throughout the fuel system. These contaminants restrict tight tolerance components such as fuel injectors and cause corrosion due to the acidic nature of the fuel.

Fuel flow through injectors becomes restricted leading to an incorrect air/fuel ratio and mixture formation resulting in a misfire.

I tried that once, I notice a huge difference...

my driveway was covered with the stuff . Didn't notice much difference to the car though. I put it in the pistons, and when I turned the engine over the stuff was projected about 10ft in the air, and managed to cover half of my driveway, and half of my garage!

make sure you get the right one that says fuel injector cleaner, redex make lots of diffrent stuff
