Ran my tank really low the other day so decided to change the fuel filter as the car was holding back abit on acceleration. The local Fiat dealer said that T reg 1.2's don't have a fuel filter, is this true, and if so where will all the crap out of the tank gone to?

IIRC, the fuel filter is built into the tank for 1.2s and is changed only when absolutely necessary. You could try some redex injector cleaner to see if that helps
